Inspirations

My second mom and unofficial sister are in Paris (per usual) and look amazing. I usually think matching mother-daughter outfits are kind of cheesy, as I think all matching-significant-other-outfits go, but neither Beyoncé nor Blue Ivy can do wrong. I love how Bey knows how to dress Blue so well while maintaining the fact that she’s still a child.

I dream of days when I can just whisk my family off to some foreign country without having to care much about my schedule or money while wearing designer clothes that probably cost half of my college tuition. Until then, I’ll just live vicariously through Bey (at least the simpler part of her life).

I’m the type of girl that thoroughly enjoys outfits that are entirely black. I’ve always struggled with adding color to my wardrobe because I just love the dark and elegant mysteriousness of the color black.

But recently I’ve been drawn to pink of all things. The color I despised growing up, the one that I refuse to wear no matter how many outfits my mom bought for me. They say little girls are supposed to wear pink…and because of that I automatically didn’t want to wear it. But as I’ve gotten older I’ve realized pink is sexy in a understated sort of way, which I actually appreciate more.

Searching through Polyvore (which I do frequently to window-internet shop) I ran across these pieces that I would personally add to my closet in a world where I had endless amounts of money–especially the satin dresses because this is what I envision when I think of one:
